quick question.
got a 91 crxsi. lookin to do a color change. complete int/ext wondering what prices u guys have paid to git this done. and also a non color change price range. was quoted 2200 complete color change with minor body fixes, dings, minor rust in some areas. thats priced with them complete break down of the car. its like 400 bux cheaper if i do the break down and prep.
for a non color change. i was quoted 1450 with breakdown of the car. and same fixes to the body. friends of mine say thats outrageous. i dunno. i aint gonna do a lame 1-day paint gig. i want a quality job.
jus wanna git an average figure in my mind when i go shoppin again next weekend.
thanx

Good luck man. I'm trying to get mine painted, and I've had terrible success. Quotes range from 1500 to 6000 (from the same guy, two different times I've asked him).
I've had another guy quote my friend's car 4000, and mine 6000. The difference between the two cars is that my friend asked for a color change, and I asked to keep the old color (re-read that, there's no mistakes there). Go figure....
It seems like for a good quality paint job the price would get up there, and if the price seems cheap, then most likely so is the job. Also, the price will most likely change in the middle of the job.
I'm seriously thinking about painting my car myself, but that gets expensive too, if I want a proper job (for all the equipment).
You could always go to Maaco for their $400 paint job. Just make sure to wash your car beforehand, as from what I understand they wouldn't bother with minor details like that....
