You should never repaint a type R unless it was in an accident that took off a lot of paint on a body panel. Keep it NHP

 

the car's paint is in really bad condition. clear coat is fading in many spots all around the car

i personally would keep it the stock color, and if you were to do a color change i would do it right by stripping the car to the bare bones to do a FULL color change.

Hands down, the sexiest color for an ITR, PERIOD.

And it's a factory color (if you live in Japan or the UK, and probably some other countries as well).

Be an out of an ordinary ITR, I say IMOLA orange from a NSX

 

Something non-standard, or unusual that you don't really see often would be so cool. Black ITRs are cool, and so are white ones and even yellow ones But red is embodiment of the perfect color for a car like the Type-R.

What about Milano Red with some pearl thrown in, or candy red? Something like this maybe?
