Default H22A5 (185hp) tuning. How can I get 10-12whp on a 5th gen Lude?

have 97 European Lude 2.2 4WS. After making the auto-manual transmission swap I am trying to figure out a way to have an increase horsepower.
The main problem is that 1997-99 Euro prelude came with a 185hp H22A4 engine both on the auto and the manual versions.
My question is the following:
Can I gain at least 10-12whp with cams (type S or crower stage 1), type S pistons and type S intake?.
I am quite puzzled because after searching on the forum I figured out that a good dyno tuned pair of cams (skunk or crower ) can make something lıke 10-12 whp on a USDM engine that already comes with 195hp. I read somewhere that the 185 engine (including the auto model in USDM) was basically a 195hp type with less aggresive cams. Does this mean that aggresive aftermarket cams would have an higher gain on a mild engine with 185 horses.?
Anyway I dont want to spend much money in exhaust, headers and so on. I guess I just want to have my engine pump out at least 195hp ( on the crank) as the USDM model with a pair of mods. I mean why should I have an engine that has less power than any other prelude (USDM and JDM).??
Any info would be appreciated.

i truly wonder if that engine is 185 bhp. the "200 bhp" h22a4's on the late 5th gens were never 200 bhp. in fact throughout the life of the prelude, h22's appear to all make 190 bhp. so i'm not sure if your engine really makes 185, or if that's just some way for honda to cover their *** for something like, for instance, losing alot of power through the drivetrain.

10-12 whp could probably come from the basic bolt ons: intake, header, exhaust. with tuning you'd probably net 25 whp if you used the right parts. with cams and tuning i think 35-45 whp is possible, and with high cr pistons, some headwork, etc who knows.

but yeah 10-12 whp should be easy, and i'm guessing it'll put you at 170 -175 whp...

in euro 4gens and 5gens (till 99) there were 185hp (flywheel) engines and after that Honda added mysterious 5hp...

185...190...195....200....yady yady yady.

I don't buy honda's claim to fame at all, it was just a gimmic to me. I think they're all close to 190 all this time.

Hey dude, forget the manufactures flywheel hp, just take it to a dyno and read the "real" hp to the wheels, that's the only thing that matters.

So take it to a dyno and post what you got and we'll go from there, hey who knows, your europeans motor might even make more hp too.
