obd 1 conversion gone awry
I'm converting my 91 b16a crx to obd1. I bought a chipped p28 and a dohc obd1 vtec dizzy , with obd0 plug on it. If i knew it was this ghetto i wouldnt have got it, and the dick wont refund me.
The two wire plug has a conversion harness, and the 7 wire plug has a obd0 plug on it. Car wont start with no spark. So i looked at it and it seemed one wire was off so i fixed it. Try to start and no luck. Then i switch the two white wires and try to start and still no luck.
I'm out of ideas. i need help and i need my car back 2 weeks ago. I'm a day away from buying a new dizzy and rywire.

honestly i have no clue what it is. Except for the fact that it bolts to my head and all the holes line up, so i'm guessing it is obd1 dohc vtec. It came with the obd1 plugs, but for some reason all teh cut wires had sodder on them. Not sure why.
But i'm guessing that its wired incorrectly. Assuming all teh other conditions and parts are good, it would have to be wiring. I'm trying to find out about my ecu jumper, if its wired by color or by sensor. Because i rewired the dizzy by color. So that could very well be my problem there. But the jumper has all black wires on it, and it'd probably take me hours to download and read through pin outs.

for what? think he could give me instructions? i didnt by the jumper from him so he probably couldnt tell me how it was wired
I cant really buy a new adapter harness without buying a new dizzy, cause this one is all hacked up

i WENT back and reread my instructions from the ecu jumper. It does say color match all the dizzy wires, and then the thin white with white and thick white with ylw/ green. So apparently thats not the problem.

If that is for sure an OBD1 Distributor with an OBD0 plug, i can recontruct the wiring to be OBD1. We also sell OBD0 to OBD1 Distributor Adapters for $25. which is probably what someone was avoiding by putting OBD0 plugs on it. Prolly charge $30 inc. shipping back to you to repin it.

good price, but i got it figured out. Wires are pinned correctly. something else is causing no spark then. Maybe the dizzy is fried.
Dont really have any other friends with 4g civics gone obd1 to test on though

The stamped engine code doesn't matter. You can run an OBDII motor with an OBD0 harness and ECU if need be.....

i know , and vice versa. right now i'm trying to figure out why i dont have spark, and whether its a faulty distributor or ecu
