Default It RAINED and My car is leaking!

it rained the past few days last week but i dint drive my car. when i went up to it when the rained stopped, i had puddles of water on the floor. my windows were rolled up and my sun roof was closed. what could have caused it? my step dad said it was coz of bad door sills, but im not really sure. the car is old, but so are all other crx's and i never hear any complaints of leaks. whats goin on here?

Its the windwhield..Poor water onto the windshield and watch the water leak in like crazy..It's happend on all our cars I think..There and hatch/trunk areas both eventually leak..

yeah, welcome to the club. on my hatch, the rain gutters are rusted THROUGH by the windshield underneath the rubber trim that holds water and salt in. i pulled them up and put silicone in until i can afford to pull the windshield and weld. it looks like ****, but, i guess so does the rest of my car.

yeah all the weatherstripping on my windshield was coming off...leakin slowly butm not bad...just put some silicone under the stripping...pressed the stripping back on and held it firmly planted over night with masking tape...sealed up perfectly and ui cant even tell....with silicone its all really depends where u have to apply it...some places are discreet and some places are gonna look horrible no matter what u do...just my .02

I have to dry out the lake in my crx every time it rains. I found out that it was the seal behind the rear brake light. but no rust..

I had the problem in my trunk.

One of my friends just took a screwdriver and a hammer, right in the center of the trunk is a little ring. He jammed that screwdriver ones with a hammer. No more water in the trunk!

maybe ill check one at a time to see where the problem is. the good part is only the front part leaks. nothing gets wet in the back, only where the passenger seat used to be and the driversider's side where the carpet used to be. the driver's seat dont even get wet. also, my battery died again. forgot to disconnect the one thats not red (negative terminal?) must be faulty wiring. could it be that the red terminal is loose? a new terminal should fix it rite? so much trouble! i new i should have bought a RSX or STi...

my crx leaks through the driver side hatch piston, where it connects to the hatch. cant figure out where its coming from....ive heard the rear sprayer nozzle could be the culprit,,,idk

Just drill some holes in the spare tire well..And paint where ever you drill to prevent rust..

mine drips right over the driver seat. With black cloth seat you can't tell they are wet until you sit in them then you look like you've peed down the right side of you leg when you get out.

i have a 88 civic hatchback and everytime i wash my car both speaker pods in the front is always wet. i took out the speaker pod to see where it is coming from and it is coming from the top near the windshield. Does anyone know where in the windshield of can i put something on the speaker ipod to prevent it from leaking cause i brought new speakers and they are getting wet too

they have this stuff that puts the moisture in the seals, I applied that stuff to the seals in my car ( hatch & doors) and it stoped leaking as much... the Hatch leak is gone.

might be worth a Try... my buddy said that Food Grade veg oil works that same way.

it's like a silicone spray, I got it at an autoparts store, but I'm told honda has something equivalent.

if you go to the parts counter of any auto parts store ask for something to put on your old seals to make them seal again... I'll try to find the name of the stuff.
