What do you call a '96 (EK) 1.4 sohc civic?
I've got a '96 (EK) 1.4 sohc civic. Im doing a h22a swap from a prelude and need to find some info about my civics wiring and ecu.
I cant find any info about it but I guess thats not helped by me not knowing what its called. You have your b16, d16, d15 and h22 etc but whats my civic called?
Ive found some details on an old 1.4 civic but mines the EK model.
Im sure if I knew what it was called I could get the info I need from the search function and the rest of the web.
Im not even sure if you have it in the U.S. as im from England.
Please help

if a d14 is a destroked d16 then that thing should be able to rev to 9k with valve springs! LOL!!
anyways bro we dont have a 1.4 liter engine either in canada.
your best bet is to toss in a obd2 to obd1 conversion harness and an obd1 computer thats chipped to run an h22 and see what happens! lol!

Actually, I think you do. When I bought my car the guy said it had a 1.4 in it and that he swapped a 1.5 in it. And my car is from honda of canada, of course he might of been wrong.

You'll prolly need the good part of an entire clip. You'll also need engine mounts from Hasport.
Well if you've got a hatch it's most likely an EK, but I could be wrong, I'm too lazy to check at this hour of the night.
I have a 1.4 EK auto, it's slow as hell but it makes a great beater

Last time I checked all the civics 96-00 (excl. SI) were 1.6L single cams. EX (VTEC), DX-LX-CX(hatch) all non-vtec, and the HX (eVTEC). In fact the civic has never had a 1.4L engine in it's life time. Even the 1975 Civic CVCC had a 1.5L engine.
What does gas have to do with it? Honda never produced a 1.4L GAS POWERED civic here in the US or anywhere else. The only way this 1.4L could be true is if it is a diesel power plant, and in that case my knowledge ceases. Diesel was never introduced here in the US as far as civs are concerned.

Yeah....weak for a 1.4 with one cam and no vtec. <sarcasm>
You're a ****** moron.

220hp from a 1.4?
lol that weak? get real
whats teh stock hp on a 1.4? like 60hp?
and 14psi to 220.. well thats almost 3x the amount of power off the stock engine.. id hate to break the ***** of whoever said thats weak, but hp gains at certain psi's arent standard... 1 psi doesnt get you a set amount of hp between engines... nore does 2.. or 3.. or 5 or 10.. its a %...
if set psi was true, then a 600hp stock engine running 14psi boost, would be ****.. where as a 40hp engine at 14psi would be an engineering masterpeice
