I'm about to buy an engie from hmotorsonline. They have most engines with the option for the LSD tranny. I know quite a few guys who race and not one of them have a LSD tranny. Is it worth the $300 more upfront?

it's better to pay 300 now and have it already installed than to pay 300-800 later and have to do the work yourself.

 

it is definetely worth it...especially if urs is a 1st gen..if u get a non-lsd tranny now and decide to get an lsd tranny later it is gonna cost u way more to rip that thing out and put the new one in...also there is a difference between the spline size on they1/s1/j1 tranny's compared to the ys1 tranny...the ys1's is larger than the rest

its def in my **** to get list haha

 

it makes the gokart FWD EF into an aggressive little monster

 

well i destroyed the 3-4, 4-5 synchros on my y1....so i cant even drive this sucker on the freeway until i get my new tranny....so all i do now is look for V8's to womp on at stop lights

never hurts i should have spend more and got an s80 during my swap and thanks to all your b16 jerks for breaking every last damn cable tranny

u can still get a ys1 tranny from hmo without buying a full swap...they sell em for $350

i just called there and the guy told me they don't sell any cable trannies separate.
$650 for hydro gsr w/o LSD
add 300 for LSD

and yes, it is worth the $$ for the LSD

 

really...sucks for me now i was savin up for one...**** my homie told me that they sold em seperately.

 

I guess an LSD is a good thing. I haven't been able to read anything good on this yet but I can't remember: Does the LSD add power to the spinning wheel or the non-spinning one? I'm still googling to find the answer. Sorry for being a noob.

and yea hmo isnt selling them only one i saw around for sale was 700 open diff **** that
free GSR tranny and hasport kit &gt; 700 for beat cable.

 

If you dont want to get an LSD tranny,, Ill give you the 300 dollars and get the swap with it, and then give you my tranny for the lsd one

Yes, some of the Y1 and YS1 trannies did come with an LSD straght from the factory. I honestly don't know **** about the S1 though.
