Default Help Installing TEIN HA's please!! i searched

so i have a 00 GSR, but the TEIN HA's are only for Type R's....thats why im posting in here. So i have the rear LCA's. What all do i need to transfer from the old strut / shock assy to the HA's? i tried to do one today, and when i got it all bolted in, the top of the strut (by the pillowball mount) was stickin up about 3 inches. and the threads were like and inch above the mounts?? can anyone give me some advice as im trying again tomorrow? or does anyone have any pics or a link to some directions, besides tein's? im just stuck! if i confused anyone let me know and i will try to clear things up! thanks

Jamison

here are some pics of the suspension

Looks fine here, but when pressure is put on, it pushes the shock about 2 more inches up past the pillow ball mount, and there are no threads that high.

there is a metal ring that you need to swap from your stock shocks onto the teins if they don't have it. it should seat on the ledge of the piston to prevent the piston of the shock from going all the way through the pillow ball.

I remember when we first put a suspension on my friends gsr and we realized we needed that metal ring, kind of like a thick washer to prevent the piston from going all the way through.

yea i know what your talking about, but even when thats in it is still too high. like there is still part of the shaft with no threads on it stickin about the pillowball mounts. i think i might just not use the pillow ball mounts, they arent camber adjustable anyways? any opinions?
