which b16a1 ecu is for an automatic. PR3 or PW0

Both the pw0 and pr3 come auto or manual..

you should see the ecu code:
xxxxx pr3 x01
or
xxxxx pw0 x51

Anything 50 or above in the last 2 numbers in the ecu code is automatic, anything below 50 is manual. Thats the way it is for PM6 and p28 ecus I know.

EDIT: xxxxx PM6 L09 (my old ecu) is for manual transmission.

5spd - 000, 001, 002, A00, A01, A10, J00, J001, C01, C00
Auto - J51, J50, A50, A51, 900, 901, A60, C50, C51, X30, A80

for 88-91 ecu's(PM6, PR4, PW0, PR3, PM7)

ok, sorry to bring this back from the dead...but it's better than making a new thread.

here is my plan: 91 CRX Si w/JDM B16 *boosted for everyday driving/"power" when i want it* w/LSD...

what ecu would someone suggest/would i need? either stock honda or aftermarket (chipped)?

EDIT: OBD0 JDM B16...almost forgot :lol:

You can add 003 to manual. I have a PR3 ending with this.

If you open the case it says AT or MT on one of the interior pieces. Thats how I found out I got scammed into buying an auto one.

convert to obd-1 and run hondata or something..... maybe chrome

i take it you can't run hondata on obd0? i don't know much about hondata...i guess i'll have to do some research...
