I got my Mugen intake used and without instructions.
Was wondering what the round metal piece goes?
Is it in the engine bay covering the hole where the stock intake used to be or somewhere else?

 

probably need pics mang, not too many of us can afford that piece of hardware....

is it the clamp that goes around the filter n' intake hose ? and is it this filter?

 

I have a EK9 Mugen intake going in a EK chasis.

Its actually a paper thin piece of metal. Like the pic below. BUT for the EK9.
Anyone has the instruction manual or know where to install it?

 

It looks like a heat sheild of some sort to me..

 

Not a heatshield i think.

The air box is enough to block off heat.

No one knows where to install that piece?

 

just throw it away... or put it on ebay "jdm metal peice from mugen intake dont know wtf it is"

Its a Splash Guard! You may not be able to get it to fit, but I wouldn't worry about it. If you do get it mounted post some pics!

Actually i got into an accident and the piece is bent, have to find some mount to install it.
Mine is just a round piece.

Here some pics. Part of the intake is cracked and need to fix it.
