value train conversion

Default value train conversion

I have a 96 Honda Civic with a D16Y7 engine. I want to change the valuetrain to a D16Y8 want do I just need the valuetrain or more things and is it worth it.

it would be prolly easier to just get the whole head, then your don't have to do as much work, and you still get decent power

Unless you're going to grab a VTEC solenoid and shove it in the side, it'll be hard to make use of the VTEC valvetrain .

The head swap would be easiest (the "mini-me"), although easy, in this case, is relative, as many noobies try the mini-me and end up messing things up. However, our very own moderator "BauleyCivic" has a fantastic write-up on how to do it successfully. I suggest you look into that before making any final decisions as to where your money will be spent .
