y8 intake mani on z6
does any one know if its even worth it to swap the y8 intake mani onto the d16z6? wil it give me any noticble diference? i have CAI, greddy sp2, and DC sport 4-2-1 1 piece header, and a high flow cat that i wana trade out for a test pipe. wil i get n e diference?

i have done the swap but i have not run the car yet. if you do swap it over, u'll either need to get a y8 fuel rail or modify your z6 by drilling a hole on one side, and using like a small sheet of sheetmetal, drill a hole through it, and use it as a washer to hold the fuel rail down (or you can drill 2 more holes in the fuel rail and bolt it onto the sheetmetal). and you might want to use the z6 TB, it makes it easier to use your existing coolant/vacuum lines on the TB. and you'll need to modify some other vacuum lines.

I wouldn't trade the thicker powerband of the Z6 manifold for the slight top end benefits of the Y8 unless someone payed me to do so
. I say don't do it.
