Question about b16a head.
I have a 94 jdm b16a in my car right now. In the future I plan on running a b16 head and a gsr block with pistons and some other stuff. My question is this guy has a 00 usdm b16a head for sale with no sensors, cams or distributor just the head with valvetrain and valves. Since the 94 b16a is obd1 and the 00 b16a head is obd2 could I still use this head on my obd1 setup, will all of my sensors plug up to it?
Thanks
Thanks
im gonna go out on a limb here and say yes it will cause your just getting the bare head theres no sensors on it. just get the obd1 dizzy and all your obd1 sensors on the manifold.
yeah, you can use it I got a b16a2 head that is running OBD1, you have to run OBD1 dizzy and harness, so it will be ok. But why not just use you JDM head, whats wrong with that?
Cool thanks for the replies. Which head flows better the usdm or the jdm? I want to go turbo in about 4-5 months and just want to get a head and do what I need to do to it so I don't have to have any down time on my car. So if the stock jdm head flows better than the stock usdm head then I will swap the heads and run the usdm head for now and build up the jdm head for later on. I think that made sense.
Thanks again

yes you can. get the one that looks cleaner or have from a better source as there is no flow differences.
both have identical flow charactersics unchanged from the original '89 pr3 design, slight changes to the valve springs, caps and few other pieces but nothing to equal HPs.
better flowing pr3 heads are ITR and CTR with factory P&P
