Default Oil question, real fast.

When you change the oil, when are you suppose to check the oil level? When the car is warmed up or when it is cold?(To get an accurate reading)
I have a GS-R btw, if that matters.

I have always checked it cold. Checking it warm or hot can give you the wrong measurement. which might make you think about adding more oil when it doesn't need to be. Then there could be a chance of blowing oil seals by doing it. So check it when it's cold.
