Timing belt

I had the water pump and belt replaced a year ago by a local shop, hmmm I wonder if they ever thought to tighten the bolt

Crazy dude, It sucks when stuff like this happens, I always like to go over anything a shop does and double check anything they mess with.

they should of use blue loctite but i bet they didnt

 

Not having a ride really sucks. My friend hit a tree in his accord and totally killed it.

I did all my **** myself, so i know it's ****** TIGHT, specially that freakin tensioner bolt.

 

that **** happened to me two years ago!!! all i heard was a cadunk, seeeee errrccccc. nooo!!!! memories!!!

 

 

Did you hear the belt shreading or did the engine just stop??? If it just stopped then you might of bent some valves. I had a belt break and nothing ahppened, but i was luckey! If you heard it then you might not of damaged anything.

 

Hopefully he'll reply saying he heard it.

I had something somewhat similar happen to me last year. About 6 months after doing a timing belt, water pump, tensioner replacment I started to hear an odd noise. Sounded like the bearings in the alternator were going. Something was bouncing around inside the belt/pump area. AFter taking it to a shop, I found out teeth had somehow broken off of the water pump pulley. That's what I get for buying a non-OEM pump. Lesson learned.

I'd go and complain to that shop. Just bitch at them, tell them what a poor job they did and you'll be getting the word out in the area...and obviously never take your car there again.

 

Yeah, get the word out. See if you can drive them outta business.

what shop was this??????...oh and some after market pumps arent bad,,,,iuno, if never had a problem with em

well i know this sucks but i never heard anything it just stopped, some of the belt rapped around the part that turns the crank and thats why it stopped, I will call the shop tomorrow to see whats going on.
