Default EG Hatch with swap, which axles?

My friend has a 93 hatch with an 00 Si b16a2 motor/trans, he needs a new driverside axle. Which stock replacement should he get?

Thanks for any help.

peace,

Chuck

I am just about to do this tommorrow... uhhh today. I bought axles from a 99 civic Si coupe, the one that has that motor stock. Cuz thats the US version that uses that motor. by the way I have a 92 hatch with the same motor. Ill post later when I get the axle out and compare. I also called Inline Pro to ask and they said that is the correst axle.

and i'm not 100% sure, but I don't see why del sol VTEC (b16a3) axles wouldn't work either...

Dont do it man, I just tried the passenger side. I used 99-00 civic SI coupe axle and noo good, it is to short. Went to 3 different shops with my core axle. compared 94-00 Gsr axle and every other(seriously all five different axles the only one I didnt try was 1989 integra axle. I'm stumped. Im going to inline on monday to see whats up.
On the bright side... no more leak from tranny seal . If anybody knows whats real with this issue please post.

Oh and the diameter of the splines was too small with the SI axle and its too short.
The GSR is too short but everything else "looks" good.

I considered buying the GSR axle and a boot kit and building my own but thats a bit extreme.

Im gonna try one time with the GSR axle, if it doesnt fit then??? But I've done some reading, maybe the axle is just stretched out, it also says that the new axle expands somewhat after installation, how much I dont know but I will be doing this again and hopefully it will work. but who the F()ck knows.

Im having a similar problem with a jdm b16a. I went to napa to get some axles for my swap and come to find out napa has the listing wrong for the axles. The axles they have for a b16a2 are shorter than they are supposed to be and the gsr axles are longer than they should be so im going to a junkyard to get some used ones.

Nope, no consiracy, I have GSR axles in my B16A EH2 and they fit perfect. As a matter of fact, talking to a guy that makes axles all B series axles that come from hydraulic transmissioned vehicles are the same dimensions, with of course the exception of the JDM five lug ITR. You problem might be that Napa has **** axles.

Bingo...Sir you are correct, I just got back from inline Pro and the helpful guys over there. The verdict is B16 Civic SI coupe axles just be sure that you are getting the right part.
