MPFI with y8 intake => Done!!
Finally got busy and did my mpfi swap today. I started around 9:00 am, at 10:30 eda6 stopped by to lend a hand. At 5:00 we were done, no codes, good idle, cars runs 100% smoother.
I used at 98 ex Y8 Intake, throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, fpr. Used the y8's map sensor, relocated the IAT and got rid of the charcoal canister and purge solenoid. All in all the car is way faster and sounds really good. I'd recomend this setup for anyone with a dpfi civic.
I need to thank eda6 for all of his help. He worked about 5 times faster than I did and he ended up doing about 80% of the work. I learned a ton during the process.

I THINK you can, OBD2 are Low impidance. dont need resisitors on them, wire then directly to 12v source, and the other wire is a ground. that its. I guess you can call it a Resisiter box delete mod, ha.

ive been wanting to do the mpfi swap on my dx but couldnt find a si manifold88-91. but a friend of mine just blew his 97 ex motor and he said i can have the manifold and everything. can you give me a little more info on how to do it
there are five wires that go into the resistor box. one is power going in from the harness. the other four are impeded power from the resistor box and small voltage is sent to the injectors through them. the obd1+ injectors require no resistance. cut wiresw and solder them all together. i did mine on the resistor box side because i have two boxes and still wanted the plug if i need it.
I'd recomend the obd2 injectors over the obd1's, just because the clips dont have that metal retaining spring. Never noticed that till today. I'll do a little mini write up on how to do the Y8 buts its pretty cake. The wire from the firewall map sensor actually reached the obd2 one without any mods.
I'll get some pics up, eda6 brought over a block off plug for the injectors wires so it looks clean.

i thought about doing it. a couple of months ago. so is that all you really need to do the swap....i'm thinking about doing something to mine. i haven't really done anythine in a while. let me know if there is anything else.
Yeah, you will need a pm6 ecu. I have the A6 cam but I will probably sell it if I do a mini-me.
Oh, You will also need a new throttle cable. Im using one out of an 86 integra (d16a1) and it works ok. I think the SI one will probably fit better.
