b&M so i replaced it with a ractive and it still does it

The bushings is not the issue. The bearings on the short shifter is what is causing the rattling sound. I use to have B&M SS. It requires you to reuse the stock bearings which are a little smaller. That is what is causing the rattling sound.

When I switched to the Skunk2 with it's own sealed bearings. The rattling sound is gone.

 

You may also find that short shifters tend to touch the shield on the CAT. This can cause a rattle.

thanks for the imput the ractive one that i replaced the b&m with has sealed bearings and it does not do it all the time only when down shifting and high acceleration /

reactive still isn't a quality part to begin with. They are like APC BTW not all sealed bearings on SS & short shifter themselves are built equally.

I have a B&M shifter and get the same annoying rattle. Anyone figured out how to fix it without just getting a different shifter? By the way it's on a DA integra.
