Default Transmission problem??

I have a 90' Honda Accord...I've been having problem with the transmission...when I step on the gas the car moves, but the problem is that it won't accelerate...0-60 in like 30-35secs....lol....can someone tell me what the problem might be besides the transmission? Thanks in advance!

You are stuck in 4th gear. Is it automatic or manual? Got reverse? Need more details please.

Its electrical. There is a module in the transmission that causes the shifts to happen. Mine quite on a Toyota Cressida and car would only use top two grears. In the Toyota you could get to it by pulling the pan and it was about a 100 dollar item. Transmission shop should be able to handle this one quickly.

It could be the 2 solenoids on the auto tranny. Something called shift-lock or gear shift solenoid or something. For the 97 accord there are 2 of them.

So the only thing that I can do is bring it to an auto repair shop? And Thanks for all the comments.
