Thermal light stays on
I have a rockford punch 5002 amp and the thermal light stays on. I can't figure out why. Anyone know if there is a reset button or how to turn it off.
if it is under warrenty let the shop you got it from look at it.if you turn off the amp for about an hour then turn it back on,does the thermal light still come right back on,or do you have to play it for a while first?
i haven't tried that yet. The amp was barely on when it turned on and stayed on. I will re install it tomorrow and see what happens. I bought it from best buy last year. I will take it in and see if i can get another one or something.
how warm was the amp.rockford amps have always ran hot ,so it does not take much for them to get real hot.especially if they don't have any breathing room
it was cool. I just put it on the AC for couple hours and then went and put it back in and turned it on and it came on. I think its fried, the light does not turn off.
