Difference between OEM honda bearings or Aftermarket ex.(ACL)
OEM's ($245) have various sizes so you can dial your bearings in so to speak.
ACL's ($80) are one size fits all, green on the honda scale, right in the middle.
Many builders have good luck with the ACL's because they check the specs to see if they are within tolerances, and if not, they buy an OEM the right size for that particular rod or main.
LS OEM bearings are bi-metal, at least for my 92 RS they are.
ACL's are tri-metal for all applications. Tri-metal is supposed to be superior.
Some builders who really want to stay OEM will renotch LS rods to accept GSR bearings which are tri-metal from the factory. Hope this helps.
And you can go wrong with any bearing if you don't check the tolerances.

ACL bearings are NOT "one size fits all". You can get a set of "standards" which is about the equivelant of Green on Honda scale. You can also order them in other sizes as well, just like OEM.

It should never be assumed that Green will "fit all" though. This largely depends on the engine itself. 90% of the time, yeah, it works. But it is by no means a "one size fits all" situtation.
