Default fuel filter seized on 94 Accord

I'm changing the fuel filter on my mom's 94 LX. The filter has been on there for god knows how long and it won't unscrew from the fuel line under it. Those of you that have done these know that space is pretty limited down there and I'm having a hard time getting tools down there. Basically just wondering if anyone had any good tips or if I have to just keep crankin on it and hope. Any help would be much appreciated.

First of all make sure that you have the 2 fuel lines that go into and out of the filter closed so gas doesn't leak when you take the filter out. The filter is coveredwith a metal cover to protect it. After you undo the metal cover you will need to fanagle with the filter to get it out of the metal cover.

Best advise is to undo the 2 fuel lines, clamped shut of course. Then take the cover/old filter out and play around with it to get them undone. After that just put in the new filter and attach the fuel lines.

If you are still confused just go to borders or barnes and noble and read the Clinton car manuals, I saw this in their.

just changed the fuel filter on my 95 ex today and it is a complete pita.

you need to come from the bottom to get the bottom fuel line bolt (up kinda above and behind the crossmember and steering rack... drivers side... follow the fuel lines if you need help). use a looong extension and 14mm crows foot line wrench on it, while holding (its good to have a friend or a whatnot here) a 19mm on the bottom filter nut.

clamped shut of course.

First start off by NOT clamping the fuel lines because if you do they will never come unclamped...

Second undo the gas cap and let the pressure out of your system before trying to remove those lines.

Third a crows foot would be the best bet but if you can get a line wrench back there it would work better. Undo the back end first and then do the top and it will be a lot easier. Do not undo the fuel filter bracket first or the lines will twist and potentially break.

nomo....first off do not clamp any lines like so advised earlier , remove gas cap thus releive pressure in system ...you need to get underneath the car get a long extension a 14mm crow foot ,if you have air tools use a 3/8 little impact works great , if no air tools give it a quick snap counterclock wise of course that should loosen it up. remove line , come back to top, remove 17mm banjo bolt from top line, remove 10mm bolt that holds filter housing to body, rermove it , replace filter ,, to reinstall ..from the top you need to start lower line by hand and leave it finger tight then position assembly and install 10mm bolt to body and tighten it install top line, get under car and tighten lower line ,reinstall gas cap
