where can I buy a obd II scanner?
I want to buy an obd II scanner but dont know what model I should look for. I willing to spend up to $200 bucks. I just want to know the codes that my 98 integra throws whenever I get the CEL. thanks
About any parts store has them. I worked for Advance Auto Parts for 3 years, and they have a huge selection of scanners. A couple of months ago, they started carrying one called the "Pocket Scanner" it is small, and runs close to $80.00 the only thing about that one is the fact that it doesn't give the on screen explanation of the code like the other ones, it just gives you the code number, then you look in the pamplet that comes with it for the explanation. The brand that Advance carries in store is Actron, and they are quite decent. You might also want to check Pepboys, they have them for good prices, but most of them are off brands that I have never heard of, so I cannot vouch for there quality, and longevity, as I can for the Actron scantools. But a good one at AAP would be the Actron CP9135. It's sad I still remember part numbers....

Agreed.... 5 or 6 of those babies in my glove box for my 1998 GSR for when I throw a code or need to set base timing.

Just locate the service connector, jump it with the paper clip or a piece of wire, then switch on the ignition and count the blinks.
