i live in minnesota, where they stopped doing emissions testing like 3 years ago. and if thats the case i dont need to worry about my car passing that stuff. so a guy told me if i dont care about emissions, to just do a header to a 2.5 inch pipe to the back axle and be done. he also said that would be loud as **** when u get on the gas. im wondering how loud hes talking. cause i dont want a car thats 2x louder than a harley. plus if i do it that way, id save myself a couple hundred from buying a full exhaust system for a b16

but ya, if its too loud, im going to go apexi n1,

that would be really loud. i had to drive home on stock exhaust, a resonator, and no cat and i thought it was louder than a harley. i'd hate to see it with 2.5 inch pipe, no resonator, no cat.

 

and remember, they might not test the car for emissions, but that doesn't mean they'll never pull you over for a loud *** exhaust.

the high performance exhaust systems are cool and all, but i dont like that bumble bee sound

 

it is not to bad. i have no muffler and no cat. it is loud. i have never been pulled over by a cop. if u can handle how loud it is then do it. it will be really loud but not as loud as suped up sport bikes. i have had bikers go by me that are a lot louder then my crx and it is a straight pipe exhuast. it can be annoying at times. it is hard to talk on the phone sometimes but u will definetly notice a difference in performance. your car will be loud at stop lights. it will always be loud. even when you are idling.
