Default Is my short shifter normal?

I have a short shifter in my EM1 and the throws are shorter, but when in neutral, I can move the shifter left and right loosely. Not sure on gears but in neutral I can, is this normal for a SS? Thanks.

yes you should be able to move the shifter left and right when in nuetral, otherwise you wouldn't be able to move the shifter over to shift gears

Yes, I know that.. Sorry if you misunderstood but it's very loose, and it moves around alot. Looser then a stock shifter.

sounds like the linkage wasn't tightened enough, or you need new bushings
