Kay so a couple weeks ago i bought a Integra RS, almost stock for the most part exept for some coilovers a Magnaflow exhaust and a couple other small things. No major problems with it up until tonight. Tonight i got pulled over by some college cops because i have a modified exhaust. I wasn't racing or any thing, just pulling out of a park heading to a friends house. So now i guess i have to find a different silent exhaust...any suggestions???...and another thing, when i go to court will it matter that i had just bought the car with the exhaust like that a little while ago?? thnx...

 

ive gotten 3 fines for mine, they told me it doesnt matter how loud it is, just the fact that it is modded. I say deal with it. avoid them, if you have to pay oh well, no points or anything. i dont think its worth going to court over, just mail the 60 bucks or however much it is where you are.

 

or just get a new or a new stock exhaust and maybe it will cost less in the long run.

 

Lets see if those ***** like downpipe only.

 

or just get a quieter exhaust.

 

i want to get a quieter exhaust so it wouldnt be so obvious that its modded, and i dont really want to get a stock exhaust because i dont want to loose any hp...thnx tho...but any other suggestions?

Funny, I'm running open exhaust and I have yet to get stopped/pulled over for it.

 

I've heard and seen the Greddy WSP II and it looks almost stock and sounds good IMO.

People seem to love RS*R Ex-Mag exhausts. Normally driving, their pretty quiet, but you can tell its not a stock exhaust when you open it up.

 

Agreed, RS*R's are sleepers and smooth sounding.
I roll with the Es Oval in flat black and it sounds and looks great for that sleeper look.
The Apex WS is quite as well, but the bling gives it away.

 

what about the HKS Hi-Powered? Is that one loud and obnoxious or does it sound good?

it def sounds good, but wont help you in the area of sound decibel. Id go with a rs*r, apex ws, greddy sp, itr, or better yet just get an e-cut out

Thats exactly what im looking for, thnx bro, but i guess it wouldnt hurt to shop around a little more. Any other ideas?

 

i don't know about you people, but i have papers stating that apexi exhaust systems are legal for use in all 50 states...

my papers range from SEMA to our very own CHP(Ca Highway Patrol)

im just loving the fact that if they pull me over... i can bust the papers in their face.

**these paper will only hold true if all the mods in your car are carb legal**

I don't know cause it sounds like a cannon, or i have fun annoying people, or maybe because "really" my car came like that with only downpipe, until i get a decent exhaust system hopefully..lol.

 

go get yourself a resonator and it might quiet down the exhaust but you'll eventually loose some power... or you could get a quiet exhaust... APEXI WORLD SPORT or RSR EX-MAG =P

 

the cops are crazy where i live about exhausts and ive had no problems with my RS*R even with a test pipe.
