Clutch sticking
I have a 1991 Integra GS 5 speed, and when I release the clutch pedal it stays down for a second or two before releasing. Obviously this makes it hard to launch or shift smoothly. I'm often squeeling the tires. The clutch was replaced about a year ago. The pedal spring works fine. I removed the cable and lubricated it. It works fine. It seems that the lever on the engine/transaxle side is sticking. I'm wondering if there is a bushing on that shaft that is worn and causing it to bind. I tried to spray lube into it, but didn't succeed. Before I pull the engine, I'm wondering if there are any suggestions. I probably need to rebuild the tranny anyway since it grinds 4th and 5th gears a little, and probably needs new synchros.
Thanks for any help.

you probably have air in your lines. bleed your clutch. mine does the same thing, but mine sometimes would just stay down haha. im too lazy to bleed mine right now, so everytime it gets stuck down there i just pull it up with my foot.

he said "cable" and besides, it's a '91. cable tranny in those. thanks for trying.
anyways, i'd try greasing up the release fork, release bearing, and input shaft. may solve your problem, and only costs $5 if you don't have some sitting around. don't use WD-40 or the like in the meantime; it will only remove any grease that is still on there.

hey, i had the same problem in my 93 Si hatchback. i was really worried when i couldnt figure out wat was causing this to happen. in the end it was something as simple as the clutch pedal sticking to the floor mat. if you have racing pedals and rubber floor mats you may be having the same luck that i did a while ago. not sure if thats the case for you but it happened to me so i thought i would share just in case your havin the same luck i had once apon a time. anyways hope this has helped.
oh yeah, i used to have that all the time. i always have to pull my carpet back towards me every so often when i drive; maybe every other day. otherwise, it goes far enough forward that the clutch pedal gets stuck under the carpet.
