stock ls v. stock si--> i'd go with the si(assuming the si is a b16a motor)

other wise... i'd have to go with the ls(assuming, in this case the si is a d series)

You guys race and report back to us. Statistically, the LS would lose against a 99-00 Si.

How do these stupid threads keep making it on here? Read the forum rules!!! Also, flex some freeking brain power and look up the numbers on the internet. You can sit here all day and speculate but where will that get you?

I never look up the numbers for any car, cause you would be surprised by some cars potential with a good driver.

I can actually speak from experience here.. A friend of myne(94 LS i/h/e) raced another friend of myne(2000 Si i/h/e cam gears, pullies) and the LS took the Si 3 out of 4 races... and one of the losing races the Si driver let his brother drive..

Sorry but there is no way a stock 94-01 Integra LS beats a stock 99-00 Civic Si. The LS is what, 140 hp, 125 tq at 2700 lbs and the Civic Si is what, 160 hp, 115 tq at 2600 lbs? The Si should start pulling around 3rd gear.
I also believe that a 92-95 Civic Si could also beat a 94-01 Integra LS. I've driven all of these cars except the 92-95 Civic Si, but I have driven a D16Y8 95 Civic 4 dr. I figure the LS is good for 16.1 in the quarter and the Civic Si is good for 15.7.

nope I can attest that the LS, Si race is extremely close. A good friend of mine had an em1, I have a dc4...

We were racing up pch, wheres its really straight and flat.

rolling start, he jumped on it before me, he hes got an instant 1 car lead, but I kid you not, my nearly stock ls continued to pull up to him. Id say, its a coin flip. but there is no "spanking" on either side.

another dumb thread, but this is also a ongoing debate with a few friends of mine, a while ago when i was into the street racing thing i raced a 2000 si with a intake against my 93 ls with intake and crap crush bent exhaust and i won. now at the 1/8 mile strip theres si's out there running 10.6-11's( pretty good drivers) and ecept for one that was turbo'd, and my 91 rs/ls was running 9.9 withs a few problems. to me the cars weight basicly the same but one has a less power and a long tranny, and the other has less torque.....it just depends on the driver and the begining of the race...hell i beat crx's with b16s, oh and the car i drive/ daily and racing is a 91 rs body with a 93 ls motor with intake and header

Ignorance at it's best..

By the way.. did you ever stop to consider that most Si's & GSR's end the 1/4 in the top of 3rd or early 4th? Do you think that little amount of time is going to be enough for the Si to catch and pull away from the LS? Possible. But if the driver in the Ls is good enough he should have around a car length on the Si before 3rd.. And that is exactly how it happened when my 2 friends raced.. The only time that the Si actually won is when my friend with the LS launched way too low and bogged.

1 this thread sucks
2 99-00 si's are faster than ls integras. this is just a simple proven fact. like a itr is faster than a gsr

you can have all the power in the car... its all about the driver, if the driver cant drive, you can have a 400hp rocket and i'll still spank you! lolz but overall LS engines got the low end torque eventually the SI with the B16a would beat you.
