Broken Full Race Traction Bar
I have a 91 hatch with a LS and a full race traction bar set up. Tonight after leaving a light in a little rush it broke. It broke right where it bolts to the lower control arm on the right side. Right across the front bolt hole and then dropped the arm that goes from the front bar to the control arm. Has anyone else had this problem or know the cuase of it?

Yep I set the caster at 2.5 and toe and camber are dead on. They have been on for 6 months or so now and never had a problem.
Post up a picture of where it broke..
Not too long ago the traction bar I was using snapped as well.. But it wasn't a full-race one.

Yep I know I'm unlucky. I had the diff come apart in my B16 tranny last week. I'm having it towed to work today and take a pic of it. I'm hoping Full race will help me out and send me a new part. Otherwise I'll have to figure something out. I did put ingals camber/caster adjusters in a month ago and have gotten a stiffer ride since then. I already bought the Energy Suspension bushing for the front end and was gonna put them in next week. Guess I'll just do it when I get it all part tommarow. I have lowered the car (eibach springs) but it's not real low. I think I'm gonna hit the junkyard up and get a set of stock struts and springs and see how it does with them.
I'm just hoping Full Race helps me out on this. I got them cuz they were the best.

I know that there was this huge debate going on in the best traction bar thread about l-con's traction bars problems.
Hope that FR doesn't give you the run around.

I emailed them last night. I don't expect anything till monday. Just sucks when you think your buying the best and it breaks. Guess anything can happen. We'll see how they deal with it.
Sorry to hear about your traction bar man, Im curious to see if everyone will start giving them as much **** as they did louie from l'con, and if full race will go out of their way to fix the problem. Good luck getting it all resolved
That sucks but I will bet you they replace it my friend broke his in a 95 hatch and they were shocked they asked for him to send a pic cause they never heard of there customer breaking one. They had him send the old one, his time slip(broke at track) and a pic of it....But they gave him a new one no problem
hey, please dont give us hell!!
i am not sure what broke, or where it broke but we definately would like to see what happened and how it happened. I am surprised your diff also failed, it sounds like something might not be right in the car. Regardless of what is wrong or what happened, email me at geoff@full-race.com with what you need and ill ship whatever it is that you broke to you.
Are you trying to describe the gold rod, the silver heim or the steel bracket that bolts to the LCA? Or all 3? This is the first i have heard of it breaking in the rear, the only ones that have broken so far are from people using too big of a crank pully and slamming the car so the crank pulley wears thru the radius rod. We have warrantied those people as well so no need to worry.

i was being sarcastic in a somewhat funny way which i know i didnt achieve, since L-con got ***** chewed up over same thing.

yes 75% chance i would say. depending on speed, traffic, terrain, driver reaction and skill to maintain calm during the split second incident so many variables.

screw traction bars, the amount of time they have been out and the amount of problems that have surfaced with ef's i was almost considering one but im gonna stick with my stock one.
its a ssac situation all over again, only with respected sellers, maybe they can see how much ssac makes selling a product that has issues so maybe they wanna give it a spin.
at least ss auto manifolds wont cause deaths i guess?
i dont think full race can replace a human life under warranty.

The part that broke was the piece that bolts to the lower control arm. It broke though the bolt hole closest to the hiem joint. The diff was probably due to wheel spin. I sent an email to your tech site. I'll send one to you. I gotta take a picture of it to get up on here. It wasn't in a launch when it happed tho. It was a 1st-2nd shift. Maybe 20-25 at most. I was able to limp it a few blocks to get off the street. I figured full race would help me out. I've never heard of a problem but anything can happen.
