I have a 2000 SI with minor mods i just got about 2 months ago. Anyway the problem I have is the CEL comes on. I have the code checked at advanced auto, and they tell me its a manufacturer specific. So, I just have them clear it, and it will come back like 2 weeks later. The car runs fine and everything, but I just wanted to see what you guys thought befor I spend 50 to have honda check it.

 

Maybe a misfire???

It is possible becasue I had a friends car who threw a CEL and it turns out it was just a misfire due to the fact that they changed the octane of their gasoline for the summer.

Or just take it to a honda dealership and have them check it out.
