Default Sedentary 98 Integra LS

Ive been searching for a car for about 3 months now to get me outa my F-150 truck, and on my way to check out a CRX at one of my buddy's houses, I passed an 98 Integra LS 5 Speed piled with kids toys on the trunk, missing a rear bumper cover, condensation in the headlights, broken right mirror, broken fuel door, Rejected sticker, and minor rust on the exterior of the fenders. The motor is bone stock, and has 50, 555 miles on it.

I fear how long it has been sitting in this driveway (on pavement), and hasn't been run in a loong while, around a year I believe. Has anyone had the experience of finding this car sitting for that long? Any problems you see running into?

Any insight? Thanks

you really need to find out how long it has been sitting. Was it running when it was parked? Why the reject sticker?

Ive never heard what happens to a car when it sits awhile.. i know the gas gets bad and oil prolly gets gross but wouldnt an oil flush and gas tank flush fix it right up? or i guess the motor internally can get messed up. Warpage/rust? whats up with that?

That's such a vague question. If a car has been sitting for years, you could run into ANY number of problems. Go check it out and bring a mechanic with you. How much is the person asking? Are you willing to put the time and effort into rebuilding? Get a Helms. I mean you're going to have to do a several tests on the engine to determine the health of it. Then I'm sure it will have electrical issues if stored outside. And body repair isn't cheap. The list goes on and on. Take a mechanic with you to check out the car. My 2 cents.

^ After one year it still started? Mines wouldn't start after a week and 1/2.

Okay great, thanks guys. I know its a vague question, I don't have much information on it yet. I just wanted to know if anyone else has ended up with a car that's been sitting for a year, which some of you have. Thanks for your help. Ill give more info once I get it.
