alright this is a common question, but here goes. i've been stressing for weeks on methods to get my car barred. i have a 98 civic ex and i'm planning to do a ls/vtec swap. but first, i need to get the car barred with a 98 ls motor in it before i swap the other parts. finding a 98+ ls motor is really difficult and so far, i've had no luck. is there a way i can get around this or perhaps even (this sounds stupid) a place where i can buy a motor but return it later on with like a % restocking fee? i'm located in nor cal. also if anyone has a motor to let me use just to state ref, i'm willing to pay well too. but as for now, do you guys have any methods on how i can get this done without paying too much?

also, i've checked the junkyards n they tell me that they dont have any 98+ ls motors.

Did you call California auto dismantlers in American canyon? I picked one up there before...
