The ZC is a d series
1.6L
Smaller bore(same as d16a6)
Bolts into 88-91 civic/crx

B18a1 is a b series engine
1.8L
Larger 81mm bore
Does not bolt into 88-91 civic/crx without a mount kit

The ZC parts will not work with the b18a1 and vice versa

I would take the DOHC ZC over a b18a, not a B18B though.

Why is that? They're basically the same motor 92+ ls has better cams(ive heard) but 90+ b18a/b are basically all the same

The difference? Torque

I'd take either, but if I had the cash I'd take the B18 due to the great gear ratios' of a cable b16 trans. Don't give me the argument of the ZC trans vs Cable b16, they're both great but I've driven both and I perfer the feeling of the B16s to that of the ZC trans.

Haha, what are you talking about? A b18C isn't an LS or a ZC.

Are you asking the difference between a B18A and B18B?
Or are you asking which is better, B18B or ZC? I'm confused. Your post is a whole different ballgame than your post title.

Exactly, please rephrase your question and post again.
