Default H22 tranny w/ a F23 motor, what needs to be done to correct the speedo?

yeap, you got that right! gonna be bolting up a JDM H22 tranny to my F23 motor. i believe 17psi on the tranny was too much. the sound thats coming from the tranny is straight nasty, sounds as if the bearings are rubbing and screaching and chirping, and the noise is getting worst everyday. she's now parked untill the H22 tranny comes in.

well, untill it comes in, i'm just trying to figure out what needs to be done to correct the speedo. i know the speedo will be off by maybe 10mph or soo, but i need it to be correct, this is my daily driver, and i past by mucho cops on the way to work, my radar will be of no use to me if i can't even tell how fast i'm going and how much i need to slow down, especially with me always in a rush to work. i'm hoping switching over the Vss will do the job, but for some reason i dont think this will work.

can you guys fill me in on how i need to handle this situation? what needs to be done?
my tranny comes in sometime next week, i need to be prepared. thanks in advanced guys.

you shouldn't have to do anything for the speedo... just make sure you hook up the reverse light.

reverse light? what?

ur not kidding r u?

anyways, you must not know that the speedo is not gonna match up to the real speed of the car. speed signal is sent via a VSS sensor in the tranny.

i read through the 6th gen auto to manual thread and i read that the vss wiring on f23s are a little different then f22s. have you tried taking out the f23's vss gear and sensor and sticking it in the h23?

have u ever tried pulling out the VSS & its gear? haven't really looked all that up yet in the manual. does the tranny have to be pulled apart for the VSS gear and sensor?
