Your missing the big fat washer that goes on the bottom of the bushing sadwich (#15 in this pic). If only #10 or #12 is used, the force of the shock can cause them to break, allowing the shock piston to pop up into the engine bar. This is a pretty common problem, and you will find quite a few threads about it.
well, something is obviously wrong. take your shock off and inspect the problem. we cant wrench on your car for you and tell you whats wrong, especially if youre going to refuse reasonable answers. its not going to be fixed by just showing us a goddam picture.

What is the answer you're looking for, obviously you have something in mind since you're refusing to believe whatever was already posted.
Is this what you're looking for? "You car is fine, it's normal, keep driving like that. Nice grounding kit"
Cause I can give you that answer....it'd be wrong...but I'm willing.

I'm supprised you didn't hear any rattling/knocking noise while you're driving. I would think the shock rod would be bouncing around against the shock tower opening.
Some people just want to hear what they want to hear. BTW 94eg! is right on the money about the #15 washer issue.

but seriously, do you need to take pictures and ask ppl on the internet to figure that out?? and if thats just what happened, then id wonder how/why it happened and if it messed up anything else... but that would require taking out a wrench instead of a camera.
