Default ** MY DYNO SESSION @ CHURCH AUTOMOTIVE TUNING**

**new dyno sheet here.....tuned with hondata s200

https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1290017

sup guys
First off I want to say that CHURCH AUTOMOTIVE TUNING is one of, if not THE BEST, tuning establishment I've been too. Shaun was really cool, no ego, helpful, curtious, you name it.

Well, good new and bad news. My hondata s200 unit does not seem to be working correctly. Having problems, throwing codes, its really weird. Whats even more weird, the ecu reads my mugen chip and car runs fine. So we spent about an hour or so trying to figure out what was up with hondata....we've come to conclude, it might be an ecu error....

Being super bumbed out....I ask him to clean up my a/f ratio bc i've been running super rich on the road...using my vafc2. My car was devirginized on the dyno....after a couple runs...tweeking on the vafc..and leaning the hell out of that motor ( safely)

i ended up putting down: 192 whp and 138 wtq.

I was freakin out..i was so amazed at the numbers....keep in mind this is with NO CAM TUNING, NO IGNITION TUNING, NO REAL FUEL TUNING...just cleaned up a/f

cant wait to go back after the Hondata is fixed....

big ups to Shaun Church...

Not too bad-keep in mind that Shawn's dyno is about 8% high though, as compared to a DynoJet.

My predicition for when you go back is a fat load of midrange. Your peak number probably wont jump too much if at all.

i personally agree with you...i would just like to hit 200+ whp....right now..the car feels great....more mid range power will just make me smile all day...

on the dyno...i still have room for power after 8500 rpm...we'll see how it goes...
will update soon...

haha...using my gf's sn...haha..totally forgot..anyways...

on the subject of higher readings..i have read that some cars only dyno a little lower at other places, and some a considerable amount. even if a 10% lower reading ismore accurate, this motor feels way better than my old set up which put down in the mid 170's...
way way way better....

after the hondata is tuned, i'll be doing a test comparing another set up on a in ground dyno...not sure what kind tho..probably a dyno jet.

we'll see how it comes out

i think you will be pleased with the setup once it is tuned to it's potential...

once my hondata is tuned...i'll be taking it to another facility for another dyno session..minus tune....

should be interesting how the numbers compare

Bottom line, he cleaned up the AF ratio, and the car runs and feels much better, that's all that matters. The peak numbers that people often compare on HT, really don't matter much as long as your car is performing to it's potential, safely.

I was at Shaun's place on Saturday shooting my friends turbo hatch while it was being tuned, and I was very impressed with his professionalism. Even while working on 2 cars, 2 dyno's, he took the time to introduce himself to a few people that walked in off the street, and had a few questions.

This is why i love dynapack....

unfortunately, the dyno with the largest market-share is dynojet...so in order to compare full-throttle power graphs to most other people with similar setups, to compare notes essentially, it is almost necessary to run on a d-jet when you are all tuned from a dynapack session....

mugen works...hondata chip...doesnt work...replaces hondata chip with one that does work...still no go...connections seems good...installation was reviewed and was ok....

its mind boggling to me.....

Let me ask you- have you ever posted a post worth the bandwidth it's taking up? This post has the most words of any of your posts, but, surprisingly, makes the least sense...it was close though, trust me.
