License plate relocate... yay or nay?
Just remounted the front license plate on my car... had to fab up a bracket and dremel out two square holes so I could mount the plastic license nuts. Yay or nay? I'm kinda up in the air about it.

Regardless, I'm probably going to leave it there... whatever the plate screws into behind the bumper is rusted the hell out.

looks good for having a front plate. I just said screw it and am going to go no plate on my EF (doing it now with my MINI)
for reloacation, but i would see if you could find the little plastic pieces that cover the stock plate holes.

Well, the holes are under the signal light, so I could move it if I needed to. Maybe I'll make another bracket and use the holes I already drilled but shift the bracket towards the middle of the car further... so it lines up more with the headlight (good idea from Doctor Zagato).
Or hell... just leave the damn thing where it is, eh?

Unless you have an intercooler...nay! without one, there's no reason to relocate it. It looks better when it's centered, IMO.
it just does not appeal to me. maybe it's just cause it's crooked and looks like it sticks out to far toward the side of the car. i'd put it back to stock but now you have holes in your bumper
Front license plates suck
I'm glad I moved out of VA. That does look good like that though, I would leave it like that. If you decide to move it, try not to put anymore holes in the bumper
To the guy who said he had it in his dash, what if you get in an accident? That'd make quite a hazardous projectile.

Well, I just bought a 2G DSM sidemount intercooler. I'll have to figure out where it will go and make it all work... I may just re-fab a new bracket and move it over towards the center just a little bit. I have to say it's growing on me, too. Or maybe I'm just too stubborn to admit that it sucks and I don't want to toss an hour and a half of fabbing a bracket up out the window.
I've been thinking about doing these for a couple of weeks.

But for some reason I would go further, like towards the center. Have the plate lign up with the turn signal(the right side of the plate! EH! but I'm a lagger.
Yours looks good
I wonder how it would look with the plate bent to the contour of bumper.Hummmm? keeps us updated if you go for change.
P.S. If you want the sleepr look for you intercooler, or front end i should say, put it on the passenger side. Then just cut the bootom section of your innner fender well.Put a piece of skid plate so that it scoops up the air like a ram air system for your intercooler. peace!
