Swaping from CX to EX cluster but RPM gauge doesn't work!
So i know that clusters are interchangable in all 92-95civics
but....when i go and swap out my old rpm'less cluster for an ex cluster
everything works except for my stupid RPM gauge!
I know that the guage cluster that im installing does work because ive tried it on my friends car and it works in his car soo somethings wrong.
Do you guys know if there is a ground I possibly could have missed when swapping out my motor? (GSR into Eg)
Or may i be missing a fuse? Again everything else works except for the RPM gauge.
Edit heres the pic that lured you in....this is the car thats having problems

Hrmmm...for some reason I remember something about having to run a wire to the blue wire in the harness depcited here:

yeah i thought that was only for an external RPM gauge...
again this is an ex cluster which i thought shoud just be plug and play...
someone correct me if im wrong though.

bump...still cant figure this one out..
WHAT can be preventing me from getting an RPM signal to the tach?
Damn looks like im going to end up answering my own question...
I went to look at the distributor side and the BLUE wire. And i was getting a signal but it doesnt have one going back to the ecu. Im guessing that my stock CX wiring going to the ecu wasnt directly wired like the VTEC and oil pressuer switch..
Ill try wiring it in and see what happens
PS im using the stock '01 gsr engine harness with the stock 94cx car harness.
