Default SOHC or DOHC = more power

should i go with a D-16 or should i go B-16 in my CRX which will give me more power with just bolt ons.... which one is going to give me more pull in the end...

You love your D16 but you would be in even more love if it was a B16.

It depends on how deep your pockets are. B16 with just basic bolt-ons will smoke a d16 with basic bold-ons. Search around you'll see the b16 puts about 160hp at the crank, the d16 120-130; depends who you talk to or search for. You do the math! However, the money you'd spend installing that b16 you could completely make a KILLER sohc setup!!!!!!!!!!! Search and you shall see

this is gettin out of hand. DOHC vs. SOHC i mean how many topics are gonna be created over this. dohc if u have the money, sohc if your cheap and want something quick. end of story and there better not be any other posts created about this topic

The only positive thing about a D series is that it comes installed in the car. The convenience factor Oh, and they are cheap to replace when they go "pop".

Umm... ok well all the EF-EK B16 boys still fear my D16 with and intake and exhaust Though we think my motor was built on a weirdo day... because it dynoed 4 hp higher than the "stock" numbers... either that or all the dumb donkies here cant drive
