Sohc Vtec Turbo question.. . .
Hey im about to do a sohc vtec turbo set up and i was just wondering what kind of head work would you guys suggest or any other things that would help my motor run better and safe with the turbo. Basically what can i do to be safe running higher than 7psi.
thanks
thanks
Well building the head isnt all that expensive, titanium valves, retainers, etc. are pretty accessible, and relatively inexpensive, and that will provide for higher boost pressure.

You should be more worried about the bottem end then the head..The bottem is only good for around 200hp..The stock head will hande high hp as long as you dont rev that high,,
And I hate when people ask how much psi can the motor handle..You should be asking how much hp the motor can handle..7psi with a 14b isnt the same as 7psi with a larger turbo..
So with the proper sized turbo, intercooler, and good fuel management.. and you can go up to 200hp on the stock motor..

Don't touch the head. fjt is soon to put down more than 250 on a stock Y7 head. NON-vtec.
