Front End/PasswordJdm
Hello everybody! I'm new to HT and, yes I did use the search feature before I made this thread.
What I wanted to know were opionions on JDM front ends from PasswordJDM.com
Has anyone on here recently purchased one? What condition did it come in? Where all products in good condition etc.
The only reason I'm asking this is because I've heard mixed opinions around town about "Passwords" products. To me they seem respectable just on how organized and user friendly the website is. They also always awnser my emails right away. But, quality and service is really nothing compared to product.
Well tell me what you think. is it worth $699 and a 50 mile drive?

Actually here in socal its the cheapest route. Only because there are lots and lots of EF's so its hard to find clips in decent shape.

Uh actually it's totally different, the headlights are larger and one bulb, the corner ligths only have one bulb in them, the bumper lights wrap around, the bumper it self has more of a rounder shape to it and sticks forward a bit more, the bumper also has an extra grill (assuming were talking about the crx one), the stock lip is longer then the usdm one. Then yes the hood bumps up and sticks forward more and you get sidemarkers because there is only one bulb in the corner light.
Anyways I bought a front bumper from them and it had some pretty deep scratches and one side was kind of warped outwards. A 50 mile drive really isn't that much so I would drive down there and see what they got adn then you could decide for yourself. I also had my bumper shipped so "maby" some of the damage happened in shipping.

actually if you go to passwordjdm for the jdm front end it does not come with the fenders. i been there a few times and they tried to charge me $650 for the jdm front end but does not come with the fenders. and the condition of most of there parts arent really in good shape.

I've bought items from password jdm and have been happy with them. Just make a list of questions to ask them like if all the parts are there and what exactly is missing etc etc.. Password jdm is a good company so I know they won't lie to u.
Password is a fine company, but you have to keep in mind what they are doing.
Stuff gets pulled off a car in Japan and then thrown in a container for shipping. It's kind of like buying parts off of e-bay from an individual that got them from a junk yard. The stuff can be "rough" and you have to know that in advance.
I'd recommend you drive the 50 miles and go see them. Have a complete list of the parts needed to do the conversion. If they have everything on your list, then work up a price.
If an item is missing and they say that "it should be in the next container", keep in mind that it may take quite a while before it shows up.
What I'm trying to say is that I don't think they would try to burn you, but some stuff is kind of out of their total control.
(I've bought JDM doors from them and drove 70 miles to pick out the ones that I wanted)

i have purchased two jdm front ends (ef9) from them, that were in decent shape. obviously any front end shipped from japan is going to have dings and scratches, but a little body work never hurt anybody.

got my ZC hood from them for my 86 hatch back. it had a dent in it, and some scratches, and some rust.. but i'm still the only one i know in USA to have a ZC hood on an 86 Si hatchback. i really didn't care! it was $120 to ship across country, too. i'd definately deal with them again. they are great people.
I got my C/F skirts from PWJDM shipping was forever but they came and looked good.
As for JDM front to me its same as a body kit I've yet to see any reason to spend that much money or something even have the EF people won't notice and does nothing else.
