Default 89 CRX Si Seat Belts?

I have an 89 CRX HF and the seatbelts are not located in the doors but on the pillars. Is it the same for the 89 SI or is there a difference? The only reason I am asking is because I'm wanting to buy the carpet and trim pieces from an 89 si but do not know if the trim pieces are for the door mounted seatbelts. Any help would be appreciated.

no the 89 si has door mounted seats just like the 89 dx and all 90-91 models. hf has pillar mounted seat beats from 88-89. and door mounted on 90-91

if it was an 89 si with it on the pillars, it

A. was not a real si, or an 89 even though it said it was

B. not usdm. both canada and japan, etc. had the belts on the pillars through the whole gen.

c. had different doors on it. a few people have done this because the doors are a lot lighter.

I thought all EARLY 89's Civics & CRX's had them in the pillar and ones produced late for 89 were made with it in the Door.

^^this is what Ive always been told.

You've been told wrong. Honda never makes major changes like that in the middle of a model year.

'88-89 Civic 3dr had pillar belts; Civic 4dr/5dr had manual belts.

'90-91 Civic 3dr had door belts; Civic 4dr/5dr had passive belts.

'88 CRX (all) and '89 CRX HF had pillar belts.

'89 CRX DX/Si and '90-91 CRX (all) had door belts.
