the temps outside are going up, now the car won't start???
any help you guys can toss up would be great.
its not a new problem, just getting worse. when it gets hot outside the car just won't start. then you give it like 10-15 minutes and it starts. and some days it won't start at all until night has fallen then it starts up fine. any ideas would be great.

what year accord? the 4th gen and earlier (<-1993), the main relay would fail and the car would not start when it was hot outside.

main relay is under the dash usually left side of the steering column. you can do a quick test. when the car does not start, tap the relay and see if the car starts, if it does, replace it. if it does not test it and see if it is good.

you need to chk if it is a fuel or spark issue , do an easy test get a can of carb cleaner when car does not start pull off tube that goes in throttle body open butterfly and spray some carb cleaner in there if car starts then you know it is a fuel issue most likely main relay as FW stated ,,, if that does not start car chk to see if you are getting spark pull off a plug wire put a screwdriver in it touch a good ground source wit metal piece of screwdriver and see if you are getting spark if not , could be cap, rotor, ignitor, coil,
well I dug around under the dash and found nothing, I am getting kinda pissed, I have a feeling it is the relay for the plain fact that in the evening when its colded off outside it will usually start up. you guys with hanyes manuals can you take a look @ it and tell me where to find the relay. thanks guys
I had to remove the lower panel under the steering column to get to the last one I changed. it was bolted to the steel rail that the lower panel bolts to. I can check tomorrow if you like

I tore the hell out of the car, took out the cluster and anything else that could come off under the steering wheel. if I ever met the man who placed the main relay I would love to kick him square in his ***. so tomorrow out to that car I will go.

boys and girls, I found the damn relay, and I was looking in the wrong spot, its on the right side on the steering wheel, it was almost straight back from the steering wheel its self. s.o.b. that was a lot of work, when I found it I banged it on the frame and the car started right up, ohhh man what a damn, I think I will take pictures and post for the 94er's future use.
thanks guys,

It should be fine for at least a few years, but you can take your old one and resolder the connections on the pc board. that normally does the trick.
