Default Hydro-locked motor (searched)

Got a buddy runnubg a b18c all motor. He just sucked up a bunch of water through his cold air. Ive heard of a bunch of guys doin this but never seen it first hand.

Have you fellas ever seen someone do this? If so, how bad off was the motor and what does it cost (parts) to fix??

take out the spark plug
crank it couple of times to shoot out the water
then
drain the oil
let it sit in the heat for a day to dry out all the water
put new oil in and maybe spark plugs

thats if u didnt spun a rod

How do you spin a rod?

But do exactly what he said and pray nothing internally got bent I just put a new motor in for someone who did that. The kid snaped a piston rod which put a hole in the block and bent half of his valves, needless to say the motor was TOAST.

did that to my d16 last year, got ina water puddle and sucked the water straight in and killed the engine immediatly. didnt know how bad it was till i took a 4 foot bar to the crank pulley to try and get more leverage and it still wouldnt turn over. after getting the engine out, i had three holes, one of which had a rod poking out of and jammed into it. couldnt find the actual piston inside but the rod broke and slapped the block in three places and the third one stopped it and jammed it in the wall. sorry for the bad news but hope you have a better experience then i did
