tokico hp w. skunk 2 springs?
i was thinking tokico hp shocks w. skunk2 springs for my 94 gsr.. i dont want coilovers and i want the lowest possible drop i can get out of springs. 2.25" for the skunk2's... everything else seems to be a 1.7 or 1.4" drop. this sound like a good idea?
I dont have any experience with skunk2 springs...they are pretty new? I was looking at them also but I am not sure how good they would be for the price...
I used to run Tokico illumina's with neuspeed springs on my integra.... It was a hot combo..
they have sport and race springs.... I had the race 2.5 drop I highly reccomend the neuspeed springs

the Tokico HPs are "oem replacements," they are not meant to be used with lowering springs and stiffer aftermarket springs... get some KONIs or Illuminas. KYB AGX are nice too, but I think for the drop you're looking for KONIs are your best bet.

I strongly disagree. They are meant for a performance upgrade, along with a stiffer spring. In the Celica application, Tokico specifically states that the strut is designed to handle up to a 1.5" drop. They are performance struts, not OEM replacement.

Yeah the HP's are like an introductory performance shock.... The illuminas are definitely better... they can handle a larger drop and have a 5-way adjustable feature to adjust the stiffness..
I wouldn't waste money on the HP's for a little extra you can get a much better option

Yea, Ive got hp's on my car w/ progress springs (2" drop). They handle the drop very well & have had them on my car for 2 years & they're still holding up well.
