Default K24A swap 89 CRX Si questions

This may sound stupid but will there be enough room for the A/C compressor? Is there some kind of electric A/C that I could install if it will not fit? I still want this car to be able to be a daily driver if is has to be. I want to make it fast but not sacrifice on comfort. That is why I am going air with the suspension. What other items should I address to make it fast yet comfortable at the same time?

Since you have to cut some of the inner fender just to fit the alternator I am gonna say no.... But let us know when you get your K series.

wait....youre putting a k-series in a crx then air-bagging it?

just save your money and put a d series in it and then youll have AC for sure.

I don't want to flame but Air bag suspension? How fast you plan to go with that ****. Dump that **** and get some Omni Power suspension.

That is not quite the response I was looking for. I am also not really looking for top speed, just something that will make for a good race on the highway. This is a daily driver, not a daily track racer. Here is the way that I look at this project. It's will be faster then my RSX, It will be cheaper then buying a new car that is as fast as it, and it will be my own creation. Heaven forbid there should be a comfortable sports car.

Yes Bob. They come in weird forms. Looks similiar to a ceiling fan, but plugs into your cigarette lighter and mounts on your dash y0.

i think the reason you're mainly getting flamed is because a k series is really hard to make a daily driver in the first place. there's no clearance, you have to cut the engine compartment and make a custom hood even. i doubt there will be room, but i don't know for sure. if the ac compressor is still in the front of the compartment, you could probably change the form factor of the radiator or something, but it would still be hard to route the lines.

what they're trying to say is, in an ed, there are engines that just drop in, can keep ac, and will be more than fast enough for you. k series are not good for daily drivers in our cars, if you wanna try, i'm not going to flame, but i don't think it's a good way to go.

about the a/c thing, i'm sure one could be run electrically, but i don't know how much that would help you, because you need a condenser outside of the passenger compartment. why? A/C does not cool air, it pumps the heat outside.

ive got an idea...you want a comfortable sports car? put TEIN suspension on your rsx and turbo it. there ya go..a k series comfortable hatchback that wont be broken every morning when you go to start it up. and...youll have AC.

k series sounds fun...but A LOT of fabrication is needed to handle all the torque...axle shops are gonna LOVE u...i say just go with a D series fully built Turbo...and ull have just as much fun imo, and possibly spend less
