ground control with koni yellow sp3s ??????????????????????????????/
i have a integra ls 2000 with gc and stock shocks right now
i would like to take the stock shocks out and put in koni yellows
i believe there is a different kind of koni yellow out there called the sp3? correct?
they are constructed the same but allow for 5 different locking perches.
is this info correct
my question is my car is lowered close to 3" and upon putting in sp3s do i need them since my spring is sitting on the coil over sleve itself what happens to the sp3 perches. do i just take the c clip off
and another question is there anyway of making the koni sp3 sit lower in its spot so that i will not blow my shocks because i am so low
can anyone help me before i buy these shocks

i think what you're talking about is the Koni SPSS.
someone correct me if i'm wrong... but i'm pretty sure your current GC coilovers will not work with Koni or Bilstein shocks. i think there's an adapter that you have to buy from Ground Control that will allow you to use your current set up with the Konis
again, someone correct me if i'm wrong... i'm pretty sure that Koni Sport and Race (SPSS) shocks have three different spring perch height settings. since you'll be using coilovers i'd say to use the middle setting.
the front SPSS shocks are shortened for the lower ride height, for the rear i'd recomend getting the Ground Control upper shock mount. it raises the shock mount height about an inch. this will help to keep the shocks from bottoming out.
Red Shift Motorsports has these $120/pair

you should completly ignore what the guy above me said.
If you have coil overs the Nuespeed koni's aren't really all that neat, they were meant for lowering springs. And with coilovers im pretty sure that you can lower the perch enough on the normal Cclip position that if you went any lower you wouldn't have ANY rod travel. so it make the "extra" C-clips pointless.

He's correct. Don't waste any extra money on the Neuspeed version.
As for your existing GC sleeves, you have two options:
1. Purchase special adaptor black rings & new shorter threaded sleeves, while using your existing gold nuts.
2. Purchase smaller diameter threaded "baby tubes", and new matching gold "baby nuts".
The second option is more expensive, but the parts fit nice & snug & look quite a bit nicer...

As stated before, if you use coil-overs, the extra circlip notches are useless. Also, I don't like the idea of having an extra droop limiter inside the shock. That could make for some funky characteristics if you decide to do the brake mount mod, and extended top hats (lifting wheels too early in corners).

ignore me? i'm not trying to convince anyone that i know everything... but what you wrote doesn't even make sense. where did you get Nuespeed from anyway? who was talking about Nuespeed?
can anyone tell me what koni sp3's are. seriously. i've never heard of them and can't find them anywhere. kinda confused.

Sp3's are Koni sports specially made for Neuspeed. They are the same except for added height adjustment grooves, and a 20mm internal droop limiter...
