Default Rotors/pads 98 Accord LX 4cyl: slot/drilled or none?

Looked in the search, want more info. 98 Accord LX 4cyl 5sp stock rotors/pads. Looking to put new stuff on. Is slotted/drilled just for those who wanna make sure they don't go up in flames while crossing/extreme downhilling? Or is there an advantage for daily driving in terms of safety, esp in rain and quick stops? Was thinking a slotted is better, less chance of cracking. And I think you can't resurface anything but a standard rotor.

2nd, what are people liking for good all-around pads, Axxis metal or??? And would a non-standard rotor wear pads quicker?

Thanx! Hoping my noobness will wear off quickly. Enjoying the lively conversations.

slotted or drilled rotor can be serviced/turned, it's been done all the time.
most of the shop might not like to do it but it can be done.

get brembo blanks, less headache less problem.

axxis ultimate is good for street use, get metal master if you want more stopping problem(along with noise, shorter pad/rotor life)

colbalt, hawk, axxis=all good
