I checked the code for it and it says 'catalyst system efficiency below threshold'
its from a D16Y7.

What could this be caused from? sensors? clogged? what I could do to get rid of it. Tried clearing it but it came back on, bleh hate seeing the CEL

 

How many miles on the motor? Is it bone stock? What does the maintenance history look like? Did you do some recent mod and then this cropped up?

 

Theres 63k miles and its bone stock.
Not too sure about the past maintence history, just got the car few months ago.

You got a bad cat. Warranty is 8years or 80000 miles I think.

This is what you r problem is. I had the same code and couldnt figure out what it was. Then i changed the cat and the light went off. If its still under warranty go to your nearest honda dealership, if not the get a replacement of highflow magnaflow/carsound like me. peace
