Default Shark antenna

Has anyone mounted the new "shark" style antenna from a BMW or the new accords on their roof yet?

I am looking to get rid of my stupid manual antenna, not looking for cool-factor or anything simply to maintain radio reception and get rid of the big metal antenna.

I think those new antennas look pretty silly on anything other than the cars they came on. Someone in my apartment complex has one on his eclipse and it is the poo.

I replaced my antenna not to long ago with a powered antenna, it is a short stubby rubber deal that looks like the s2000 antenna.

Here is a thread I made that has pics and my thoughts on it, scroll about halfway down until you see me posting the pictures of the black Prelude. You might actually want to read the whole thread b/c a few other people talk about other options as well.

If you decide that you want to put the other type of antenna on though, and you enjoy it (either because of the reception or the look) I say good for you. When it comes down to it, do to your car whatever makes you happy. Just be prepared for people to make fun of it, b/c thats what people do.

I have a CRX and the factory antenna is already teh ghey, so I figure replacing the rear washer nozzle with one of those low-profile jobbers would look just fine. I am not putting the 4" tall BMW 7-series one, just one of those that looks like a bump or even have the very short 1" antenna sticking out. I might just use one of those interior hidden antennas and call it a day.
